Constitution and Bylaws
Responsible for periodically reviewing the governing documents of the Association and making recommendations for changes.
Responsible for planning and implementing the annual Representative Assembly.
Convention Planning -- Awards Subcommittee
Responsible for designing an award program for effective local associations, Friends of Education, and outstanding association leaders and nominating potential award recipients.
ESP Advisory Committee
Responsible for recommending programs and services that address the needs of Educational Support Professional locals and members.
Responsible for creating a Central Election Manual. Responsible for handling the details of preparing the ballot, conducting the election, and other election related responsibilities.
Responsible for planning and implementing strategies for engaging a diverse cross section of members in Association leadership.
Responsible for recommending programs and services that address the needs of emerging leaders within Central.Finance Committee
Responsible for recommending an annual budget to the Executive Board and Representative Assembly, overseeing expenditures, administering grant programs, and performing other duties that pertain to the fiscal oversight of the Association.
Instruction and Professional Development (IPD) Committee
Responsible for planning the annual Central Inservice Day program and other professional development activities for Association members.
Responsible for organizing district activities at the OEA Representative Assembly and related events.
Leadership Development Committee
Responsible for planning conferences and workshops for local leaders designed to meet local association needs.
Member Communications Committee
Responsible for making recommendations related to effective communications between the Association and its members.
Purpose: To review and understand the NEA competencies on organizing and review the documents from the NEA Leadership Summit on organizing to determine how to best serve our members in this regard.
Inter-Association Action (OEA Screening) Committee
Responsible for screening candidates for OEA office and making endorsement recommendations to the Executive Board.
Retired Advisory Committee
Responsible for making recommendations related to the effective recruitment and involvement of retired members in the Association.
